Вечером 29 ноября состоялось очередное заседание клуба «X-Stream». Встреча восьмиклассников прошла как «Potluck Party» — вечеринка , на которую каждый участник приносит самостоятельно заранее приготовленные блюда и угощает ими всех других. За чашкой чая ребята обсудили традиции и культуру питания Великобритании и Беларуси, просмотрели видеофильм и поделились рецептами пирогов, которые они приготовили дома вместе с мамами. Do you know what a potluck party is? It is very popular in Great Britain. It’s a time for people to get together, enjoy meeting new people or seeing old friends again. Everyone is to bring a “dish”.
We decided to have a potluck party with the pupils of the 8th form, because they are learning the topic “Food” now. They are learning how to make both British and Belarusian traditional dishes. The pupils who took part in the potluck party had cooked their favourite dishes and shared the recipes. We had a lot of fun! Everybody enjoyed the time!
